Eligibility Criteria and Required Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree in any stream (Preferred areas include Business, Finance, or Accounting).
Experience: Open to fresh graduates and experienced candidates looking to advance their career with Siemens.
Technical Skills:
- ERP Systems: Knowledge of ERP platforms such as SAP or Spiridon is essential.
- Tax Compliance and Tax Payments: Familiarity with TDS, TCS, and international tax compliance is preferred.
- Financial Reporting and Reconciliation: Proficiency in basic financial tasks like TDS returns and expense reconciliation.
Additional Skills:
- Analytical and Problem-solving Abilities: Strong aptitude for handling complex data and resolving issues.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written English; French language skills are an asset for Quebec-based projects.
- Shift Flexibility: Ability to work on different shifts (morning or mid-shifts) to accommodate global operations.
Core Responsibilities
As a Graduate Trainee in Siemens’ Finance Department, you will be an integral part of the financial operations and compliance team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with both domestic and international tax regulations, manage tax payments, and file returns accurately.
- TDS Filing: Handle TDS return filing processes, including issuing Form 16A to vendors.
- Vendor and Auditor Queries: Serve as the primary contact for vendor and auditor questions related to financial records, tax compliance, and accounts.
- Inter-departmental Coordination: Collaborate with internal teams, including Accounts Payable (AP) and Internal Control Compliance (ICC), for accurate record-keeping.
- Expense Account Reconciliation: Manage and reconcile clause 34a expense accounts.
- Human Resources (HR) Financial Activities: Assist with HR-related tax tasks, including TDS/TCS payments, filing of returns, and issuance of Form 16A.
